"12 Weeks to Wellness"
What to Expect
Your first visit, the initial exam, will take between 30min and 1 hour. We will cover your health history, concerns, goals, necessary testing (pH, orthopedic tests, neurological tests, saliva test), protocols, and what exactly a "holistic treatment" is. You'll complete your visit by enjoying your first Migun Table Acupressure Massage! You will leave with a much better understanding of how your body works, the approach Dr. Jana takes to solve even the most complicated health problems, a detox regimen and a Lifestyle Guide outlining the "12 Weeks to Wellness" Program.
It's called "12 Weeks" because it takes that much time to cover Phases 1 and 2 (outlined below). Phase 3 is simply healthy living with maintenance/preventative care. The goal of my programs is to restore your health, educate you, and get you back to doing what you love...only better! This program is for ANYONE who is sick and tired of being sick and tired.
In order for the body to heal and permanently decrease body fat, we must wipe the slate clean by removing inflammation and toxins from the body. This starts with a system of detoxification combined with an alkaline and anti-inflammatory diet. Therefore, regardless of your condition, this is where we MUST begin in order to lose weight and start the healing process. I have tried to make implementation of this process easy for my patients by outlining a system of “approved foods” in the Lifestyle Guide that all of my patients receive. It is critical to commit to a healthy lifestyle if you truly want to feel better, lose weight, and stay on track for many years to come. This is not a temporary weight loss program for patients. This will be a learning experience in which you will learn:
*how to make more educated health decisions
*how to regain your health without being overwhelmed
*how the human body REALLY works,
*how to stay on track for a lifetime
*as well as how to become more pro-active throughout this transition to a better life!
Your health is your greatest wealth! I have worked extra hard to make this transition into natural health an enjoyable and rewarding experience! Welcome to “Phase 1” and a journey that will forever change your life. You WILL fall off the plan at times; we all do. However, this program holds you accountable and teaches you to respect the amazing body you have been blessed with. You will learn to interpret what your body is telling you over time , and it becomes easier and easier to be disciplined. You did not lose your health overnight, so this is a process. It requires dedication and yields amazing results. Be patient and enjoy the journey!
PHASE 1: Remove the Inflammation and Toxins
Inflammation is present in all of us due to poor diet and lifestyle choices, the poor quality of foods available to us, stress, environmental and electrical pollution, spinal misalignments and muscular imbalances, traditional medications, and anything else that imbalances our body’s natural functions. By cleansing our bodies from the inside-out, we can begin the healing process and move forward. During Phase 1, your body will become more sensitive to insulin, food addictions and cravings will begin to cease and the body’s natural processes (blood pressure, blood sugar, metabolism, hormone systems, etc) will begin to normalize. Pain, allergies, skin problems, and body fat will begin to diminish. You might experience unpleasant symptoms as your body lets go of toxins, but this is perfectly normal. Detoxification is a critical step in the healing process. Phase I begins with a very simple colon cleanse/detox following your first visit.
PHASE 2: Replenish the Body
Now that the body is cleaned out, we can begin to give it what it has needed for so long. We do this through continued supplementation and by making wiser lifestyle decisions. The body is still working to restore its biochemical functions and is still trying to push toxins out. Your Holistic Treatments combined with Migun Table treatments and your diet will accomplish this. Your insulin levels are starting to stabilize even more by now, making it easier to maintain a healthy weight, maintain energy throughout the day, sleep better at night, and increase your overall metabolism. Body fat really starts to decrease during this phase, particularly as your pH continues to rise , making your body more alkaline. Your compliance away from the clinic is going to determine the level of your success. Your guidelines for this are outlined in the Lifestyle Guide that all patients receive on their first visit. A recipe book is also available that follows Phases 1-3. This program is a reflection of my life. It works!
PHASE 3: Whole Food Diet / Health Lifestyle /
Success
This is the next step after the 12 Weeks to Wellness Program. From now on, you will eat a larger variety of natural, whole foods in
order to maintain the health that YOU have achieved for yourself! If you
are at this level, your body is full of energy, your body's chemistry and
hormones are stable, and toxins, allergens, and heavy metals have left the
body. You have made some critical lifestyle changes that will reward you
for many years to come. Phase 3 is the lifestyle we hope you continue to
live so that YOU are in control of your health. Remember: Food is the
best medicine and you are in control of your health from this point forward.
You are simply on preventative/maintenance care from here!
It is still
critical to come in for "tune-ups" every 3-4 weeks to maintain what you've accomplished and keep your body
and nervous system balanced.
